Welcome to my boudoir.
I think it's pretty impressive how well we've gotten me set up here. First there is the matter of the laptop I am typing this from. Jordan's grandma Judy generously insisted I take her 2 day old laptop that she hadn't even opened yet, so I am giving it its inaugural run. Thank you again SO much GJ, it is just amazing. Next you will notice the bar fridge, also generously donated to the cause by a friend's parents. Jordan built the table next to the bed (stacked with books, magazines, movies and various electronics), bought me a step stool for our bed (that we never realized was so high), toss in some guest chairs, et voila! It all comes together.
So far, I have been quite 'busy' (relative term). Lots of visitors and things to do so I haven't been too bored. We sat with Diana on the weekend and did a big schedule for Rio and got her care sorted out from now till Christmas. It is a big relief for Jordan and me to know that she is well taken care of and will always be with people she trusts and loves while she can't be left alone with me. She is so sensitive and I know how worried she is about me but I also know how resilient she is and that she will be fine. I am telling myself that if anything this will make her a more empathetic and loving girl than she already is. Her compassion at such a young age amazes me. That all being said, our angel can turn into a devil in a split second, so I know that we are going to have some challenges with her in the coming weeks while she tries to process everything. That's life with a 3 year old on the best of days though, so we can't expect much else.
Next big step for us is an ultrasound and checkup with Dr. Cooper at the hospital on Wednesday, when we will hopefully hear that the stitch looks as good as can be expected. We'll let you know as soon as we know anything. Until then, more of the same for me...continue to obey orders and wait patiently.
good work gang...the table is crooked though..nice one Jord.
