Well it may be a short lived honeymoon period, but the first day and a bit has gone relatively smoothly. Feeding, particularly breastfeeding, is a lot more difficult than I had anticipated, especially with all the meds thrown in. But the boys have been happy, taking in all of their surroundings. Best yet is that they slept for 6 hours last night!! Not that Jordan and I slept because we lay awake listening to the monitor and waiting for them to wake up...
Rio is...well...intense. She wants to be near/beside/staring at/talking to/climbing over them at all times. But I would imagine a bit of the novelty will soon wear off so we are practicing patience because she just loves them SO much that it is all well intended and with the absolute most excitement.
Today we took them on their first outing. Rio needed to burn some energy and Jordan and I needed some fresh air. We strapped them in their baby hawks and took off for the park. Then we all came home and managed to nap at the same time! So far life is bliss.
So so so sleepy after our walk
