Today we met up with some friends at
Oldfield Orchard's Octoberfest*. Cuteness ensued (sorry boys, you were asleep in your baby hawks so Rio and Evie stole the show!)
Sugar cookies at 10am, just what we needed
Matching kitties (Rio was scared of face painting, but
caved after the 2 year old did it first)
Waving to their adoring fans
This afternoon Jordan and Rio are off to see the
Kerplunks, their fave kids group, in concert. What a weekend! If you and your kids haven't heard of them I highly suggest you check them out. Cool kids music, even for adults. I mean seriously, with a song about cheese on bread how can you not love them? "If I can't have cheese on bread, I'd rather be dead, rather be dead" - that could be the Trousdell motto!
*This is in no way an endorsement for Octoberfest. In fact, as much fun as we had, we are going to boycott in future years. We had to pay admission for Asher and Nolan who slept in their carriers the entire time! Brutal! Not to mention the astronomical prices in general! Be warned, it's fun but it is a ripppppp off!
pay for the babies??!?!?!?!?...crazy dude, crazy.
ReplyDeleteBut the pictures turned out beautifully :)
ReplyDeleteFunny we were there on Saturday. We paid close to $25 for the 4 of us to get in - Owen was in his carrier the entire time - and only let Lee ride the cow train and regular train one time each due to the cost of the tickets! We came home saying the same thing as you - TOTAL FUN BUT HUGE RIP OFF!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you had a good weekend though.

Rio on the left . . . errr, right.
ReplyDeleteLoads of love from greatauntie, with a smooch.
