Party Details

Wow, was that ever an amazing party. It totally exceeded our expectations. The guests were fun, festive and incredibly generous and the boys loved it, taking it all in and watching everyone. They even kept their wigs (yes I made those, for everyone who asked) on for the entire party, which came as a huge surprise! Of course they didn't understand much but the visual stimulation was fantastic. They didn't know what to make of their cakes - we of course weren't going to let them eat any, but did let them touch them and Nolan got a nice fistful that he managed to smear all over himself.

I am so glad all my craaaaazy planning paid off. The Thing 1 and Thing 2 theme was a hit, and thanks to everyone who noticed that everything (food included) was blue and red! I went a little overboard - and may have harmed people with the amount of blue food colouring they ingested - but it was totally worth it.

We had a few cancellations due to sickness, but thank everyone for considering the boys' health and keeping their germs away. Even with quite a few missing guests, we managed to have 50 people so it was definitely festive! We were sorry we didn't get to visit with everyone more, but I hope you all has as much fun as we did.

Everyone went waaaay overboard on presents and the boys got spoiled rotten. It was like Christmas morning for Rio when we opened them, and lucky little girl even got a few presents for herself!
